Celebrate the art of giving by participating in the 2013 Papergirl Project at the Figge. This growing international movement was the brainchild of German artist Aisha Ronniger in response to the ban in Berlin of posting art in public places. Ronniger organized the first Papergirl project in 2006, where the local creative community made art on paper. Artworks were exhibited, rolled up and distributed by volunteers on bicycles, paperboy style. Artist Glorie Iaccarino, founder of EcoArts Council Quad Cities, brought Papergirl to the Quad Cities in 2012.
View the art and then create your own 2D art at tables in the lobby which will be stocked with art supplies. All materials will be provided. Artworks will be included in the 2013 distribution.
